I spent the first year after I got my BA living with my parents, working some part-time jobs, and looking for something full-time and permanent. There is missionary work, though. The national office of the church I played for was looking for people to go overseas and work in bilingual high schools, teaching English. All you really needed was a bachelor’s degree and the willingness to go. So I applied, interviewed, and six months later I was in a village in Slovakia.

So let’s make them aware of this, and let’s teach them the skills necessary for success. And let’s do it at an early enough age that they haven’t yet been programmed for mediocrity like so many are.
